“Wonderful place to spend the night. The caretaker John is a great guy and has a huge knowledge of the area for all of your fishing/hiking/canoeing and adventure needs. The food is hearty and delicious as well. Tatogga lake resort is truly worth a stop. The RV sites have 30 amp power and water available.”
“Great rooms! Amazing food! Super cool area. Highly recommend stopping in anytime youre passing through!”
“Great stop on the Cassiar Hwy. Rustic charm, a restaurant on site and an older campground. Our site had power and water! We were very pleased to see a bear strolling through the campground just before dark. Don't leave the RV unless you have long sleeves, pants, hats and gloves, and are fully sprayed down with big spray. The are mean. John, the owner, is nice old guy with a story or two to tell.”
“This place is amazing!! Perfect for a overnight stop - wish we were staying a week. We were riding motorcycles to Alaska and stopped here (prior reservations) for the night. It is peaceful, quiet, and our rooms were great. Owner was very welcoming (in spite of being basically a one-man operation). He took the time to speak with us, made some suggestions and was great to listen too. We'll go to the restaurant for breakfast & coffee before we fuel up the bikes and head off. I highly recommend a stop here - just don't be in a hurry - take some time to just chill - well worth it!!”
“If you are looking for that rustic mountain lodge experience this is it. dont be scared of the animals in the dining room theh don't bite.”
“Could the rooms use a bit more attention to cleanliness? Yes. Dead mosquitos on the walls and a dirty floor are yucky. But that bed and those heavy blankets were heavenly! I’ve never slept so well in a hotel. The owner, as stated in other reviews, is a friendly, interesting guy. We didn’t get up early enough for breakfast so I can’t comment on that. Our truck nav has us stopping in the town of Iskut, it’s at least 10 km beyond there.”
“This place was an oasis in the woods. We happened upon it while in search of a place to stop for the night. Despite it being past closing time the owner and his son had us come into the dining room and not only provided very comfy accomodation for the night (the most comfortable mattresses we've yet encountered on our road trip and ensured we had coffee, creamer, and cups for the morning as well as starlink) but also made us some breakfast for dinner. The folks here were super lovely and gave us an amazing local hike recommendation for the following day. The owner even leant us an air horn in case of bears on our hike. Completely lovely people!”
“We didn't stay in a room, but we stopped for dinner, and then returned for breakfast. A true family business with homemade food. Everything was genuinely excellent. The family was constantly in the background prepping, cooking, for future meals (Turkey Tuesday), or baking (pies, and cookies) to sell. They also give back and support the local community. Very impressed.”
